Exciting Wedding Ceremony Songs for Enthusiastic Wedding Couples

Nov 10, 2014 | Posted by:  abi s

Weddings are traditionally solemn occasions, but nowadays, it is common to see more upbeat ceremonies that reflect the personalities of the couple. Just a simple change in music can make a huge difference. Traditional and solemn wedding music sometime feels a little too ‘old’ for a fun-loving and enthusiastic couple. If you want to break tradition, don’t be afraid to pick exciting songs that can make the occasion a lot more fun.

There are no rules when it comes to picking songs for your reception. You are free to create your own soundtrack, choosing wedding ceremony songs that are meaningful to you and your spouse.

For the wedding ceremony itself, you will need to ask your church, as some of them have rules. Many churches now allow modern songs for wedding ceremonies, but be sure to check first before you proceed (especially if you belong to a conservative religion). It’s generally best to stick to more mellow tunes for the ceremony itself. Save the fast and upbeat songs for your wedding reception.

Will there be kids in your wedding? Then be sure to review the lyrics and stick to songs that are appropriate. Watch out for songs with cuss words that could make the religious and traditional family members uncomfortable. To review the lyrics is also important if you want to ensure that they entire song is romantic and happy. The last thing you want is to play something that starts out happy but is a breakup song, or a song about parting.

How the songs are delivered can also affect their impact. You can play a recorded track if you’re on a budget, or you can hire a choir to sing your songs. You can also hire a string quartet for a ceremony or a live band for your reception.
