You already have everything in the palm of your hand to plan a great wedding, when you get the free wedding planner apps for iPhone and iPad. You can find affordable wedding venues for the reception with just a little effort. There are many eateries that are well known for being a wedding restaurant. You can also find more wedding ideas for choosing venues on the companion wedding websites.
Today brides are not relegated to banquet halls, country clubs, they are beginning to realize that there are lots of other places that will provide space for a wonderful wedding reception. They are using libraries, atriums, and even studios. If you are unsure of what type of venue you want it is a good idea to start the search early  on in the planning process. It is important to book the wedding reception venue as close to the time you book the wonderful wedding venue as possible. This way you make certain that they are both available on the date you need them and at the time you want.
Ceremony Venues
The wedding reception venue is only limited by your initial budget. The wedding reception generally is where a larger portion of the wedding budget calculation is spent. While you may invite hundreds of people to the wedding itself, there is no rule that says they all have to be invited to the reception. This should be made clear in the wedding invitation. You could possible include cards with information about the reception in only the invitations that are for people who are to attend. These can be collected as they enter the reception venue.
Most weddings are themed events. The decorations are centered around this theme as is the wedding music and the food. Finding the right wedding reception venue is imperative. In many cities there are even historic old homes that are available for this very purpose. The venue should always be rented with the idea of the number of people it is expected to accommodate. If the venue is too big, you will lose that sense of intimacy that is so important at these events. Here are a few questions that you should ask the rental office of the venue you have in mind.
  1. The rental fee of course is the first priority. If the venue is over your budget the other questions do not matter.
  2.  Is food included and at what price? If not are there vendors that they have a contract with or do you have to provide your own?
  3. Is there a liquor license? What is the cost of wedding beverages? Is there a limited, full or non-alcoholic bar?
  4. Is there a space to hold the ceremony?
  5. Will staff be provided and if so what is that fee?
  6. What about overtime, security and parking? Will there be valets or do you have to pay for the parking? (all of these will incur a fee)
  7. Are there any packages? Make sure if you consider a package to get detailed descriptions of
All of these fees have to be considered from the beginning, these have to be included in the budget.
