At Ivory Orchid Events we offer you the services of a wedding planner and a travel agent with 25+ years total experience in the travel/wedding industries. We provide a one-stop-shop for the bride and groom’s wedding and honeymoon requirements, as well as providing all travel necessities for ALL party attendees. Our services begin by providing everything from the actual planning of the wedding ceremony, to booking hotel rooms, activities, and transfers as well as pre and post extension vacations with our current established Costa Rica Vacations channel. Cut out all the middle-men and have only one contact to eliminate the room for error! We have the balance of the Tica Travel Agent and the American Wedding Planner, something no one else offers; we see your event from both perspectives and maximize our specialty for both within one spot.

Mónica McIntyre studied at Birmingham University, where she earned a Higher National Diploma in Hospitality and Institutional Management. She received her MBA at Thunderbird, The American School of International Management. Mónica is a Costa Rican and Argentine native and a 20 year veteran of the hotel and travel industry. Mónica worked in numerous destinations for Hyatt hotels in the United States and in Costa Rica doing ecological and adventure tourism before launching the first version of her online travel agency now called LatinExplore in 2000. Mónica has an unparalleled passion for Latin America and her experience provides you with the first hand knowledge of the many destinations within Costa Rica both as a native and as an experienced travel agent for the destination. In addition, she believes customer service is the key to success in any relationship, especially when combined with the efficiency of excellent product offerings.

Marishah Erickson is a graduate of Southwestern College in Phoenix Arizona. She has worked for the home office of HelmsBriscoe, a hotel meeting planning company for years and has learned the culture of dealing and negotiating with hotels to obtain tangible results. In addition, Marishah worked as a Wedding Planner for Grand View Lodge Resort in Minnesota. She has designed and executed numerous weddings, has worked with different bridal profiles, and is passionate about each wedding as if it was her own! Marishah enjoys keeping up to date with wedding styles and trends and is also passionate about the country and people of Costa Rica.
