Calavera Press ~ We specialize in Mexican inspired Papel Picado Banners and Banderitas to add flair to your wedding or fiesta decor. We also have a variety of Mexican, vintage, and retro inspired digital print files, invitations, postcards, postage stamps, and custom graphics for weddings and fiestas.

Papel picado is a traditional folk art from Mexico and other countries from around the world that involves cutting out intricate patterns on colorful tissue paper. The banners are used as decorations for festivities throughout the year. Papel picado banners are a perfect way to decorate your special event.


The Calavera Press team includes husband and wife, Tony and Sandy. We work together to create beautifully hand-cut papel picado artistry. Tony is a graphic designer and musician and Sandy is a teacher and artist, we both enjoy sharing the love of our Mexican heritage. We live in Austin, Texas and have two amazing children.
